About Nature-wise and Rail Trail tours

Principal of the company is David Robb. David has been tramping, camping, skiing, gold prospecting, 4 wheel driving and flying around the South Island particularly Central Otago since family camping holidays in the 1960's. 

You can be sure of the first requirements in your guide, ie extensive local knowledge and enthusiasm for introducing others to this extraordinary land. Earlier ventures into tourism began in 1984 (Venture South NZ) which pioneered small group special interest tours and later 4WD tag along expeditions mainly for New Zealand family groups, all over Otago, Southland and inland Canterbury.

David has also done extensive guiding for Lake Moeraki Wilderness Lodge and Adventure South www.advsouth.co.nz and provides guiding and mountain access services for Kokonga Lodge. www.kokongalodge.co.nz
